Máčala in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. A well placed corner kick from Z. Stoklasa was followed by K. Pulkert's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for R.U.M., the score now 1 - 0. After 21 minutes, B. Magaud put R.U.M. ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Angels's Z. Hudec left the field after 23 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was B. Michalčík. 32 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as F. Tonon broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for R.U.M.. Confident in their lead, R.U.M.'s players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. 34 minutes into the match, Z. Stoklasa could have extended the lead, but his powerful free kick went just over the bar. Angels's D. Pauk was shown a yellow card after 38 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Halftime score was 3 - 0. R.U.M. had most of the ball, with 73 percent of possession.

B. Michalčík knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 3 - 1 after 51 minutes. R.U.M.'s K. Dundr got himself booked for a foul. Good work by the Angels defensive line after 72 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found B. Michalčík alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by R.U.M., with 70 percent of the ball.

D. Estrade performed admirably for R.U.M.. B. Magaud turned in a dismal performance, however. Angels's top performer was clearly H. Křepel. However, A. Hajduch made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 1.
