29865 spectators arrived at Galská Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Knights mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. After 9 minutes, Knights's F. Pittner made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. T. Kiakis's speed was clear to see after 17 minutes, as he darted down the wing and released D. Cardoso Gonçalves who placed the ball into the back of the net to make the score 1 - 1. The terraces were silenced after 18 minutes when Knights's M. Fortão put the guests ahead 1 - 2, following an attack on the right. 19 minutes into the game, D. Noë had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came G. Aires. It was obvious that team Knights had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. F. Pittner was, after 23 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper A. Dermitzakis made the save. 27 minutes into the match, Asterix's B. Bodale maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 2 - 2. M. Fortão's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert F. Pittner was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Knights. 2 - 3. After 34 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for M. Baratier who increased Knights's lead to 2 - 4. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Knights lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Halftime score was 2 - 4. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Knights, with 54 percent of the ball.

A. Ivy wanted to play on, but the Knights coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 60 minutes into the game by L. Lista. A. Dermitzakis got a fingertip on O. Pohořelý's shot from the left 60 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when B. Bodale scored after a brilliant midfield combination through the centre, reducing the lead to 3 - 4. Knights were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. O. Pohořelý came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over A. Dermitzakis but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. The crowd was on its feet 74 minutes into the match, as Asterix's G. Aires found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 4 - 4 equaliser. Possession in this half belonged to Knights, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

Most important Asterix player was B. Bodale. F. Gao on the other hand, had a terrible day. Knights's top performer was clearly F. Pittner. A. Ventura Rodrigues was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 4.
