previous 7/10 next 9/10  Nekopnem 3 - 4 Soldiers (381376314)

Due to an all-day shower, 32895 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at FC Mělník. Samuel Castelli was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Patrik Ekbrant and Stéphane Joulain. Nekopnem started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Košir - 其骅 (Qihua), Vohnout, Černošek - Forner, Korpela, Pallas, Echeberz, Benavides - Milde, Glättli.

Soldiers tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. Lineup: Balga - Spálenka, Machan - Kolář, Vrba, Gajda, Hrůza, Štafa - Brčák, Buršík, Kutra.

14 minutes into the game, V. Machan had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. P. Benavides caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 15 minutes. This gave Nekopnem the 1 - 0 lead. With 19 minutes played, M. Gajda of Soldiers fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. After 21 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and U. Forner gave the Nekopnem supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0. After 28 minutes, L. Vohnout put Nekopnem ahead 3 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Nekopnem lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Soldiers were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 30 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to V. Kutra, who smashed it home to make the score 3 - 1. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Nekopnem, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

Soldiers reduced the lead after 62 minutes to 3 - 2 as L. Spálenka easily chipped the ball past the home side's keeper after a dazzling play from the right. Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Soldiers's M. Gajda put the ball in the onion bag after 66 minutes to make it 3 - 3. The visiting V. Kutra was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 69 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 3 - 4 was the score. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, L. Vrba got himself booked. The manager of Soldiers was not happy. Nekopnem enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

Nekopnem's top performer was clearly R. Pallas. H. Milde on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Soldiers player was without a doubt V. Kutra. G. Kolář turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 4.
