Clouds darkened the skies at Na Kutilce as 26668 spectators turned up for the match. Damian Bentaieb was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Rotem Tsuriel and István 'Flash' Tornyi. Koule tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. The following players took the field: Redlich - Kempa, Geraldes - Ecija, Wellke, Volder, Năstasă, Glas - Keneme, Tischenreuth, Ciuffo.

Konigs started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. They fielded: Puglisi - Sperotto, Steinauer, Genaridis - Celý, Graful, Kabíček, Galuška - Studený, Halata, Derner.

The wings were the focus of most of Konigs's attacks today. Koule took the lead 20 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as E. Ciuffo elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, O. Derner got himself booked. The manager of Konigs was not happy. 35 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as F. Keneme broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Koule. After 36 minutes Konigs's G. Puglisi limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. The score became 3 - 0 at 37 minutes into the game, when Koule were given a penalty which G. Tischenreuth blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! By now, the players in Koule felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Koule had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.

Konigs reduced the lead after 80 minutes to 3 - 1 as M. Studený easily chipped the ball past the home side's keeper after a dazzling play from the right. After 81 minutes, P. Glas put Koule ahead 4 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. After 85 minutes, Konigs were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. M. Studený did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. Koule claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

Most important Koule player was F. Keneme. G. Kempa on the other hand, had a terrible day. Konigs's top performer was clearly M. Studený. F. Sperotto was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 1.
