previous 8/10 next 10/10  Evaldo 3 - 4 Veverčí (381381710)

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 29946 to Heřmaňský ďolíček. Victor Gastinel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Adrien Stemper and Sebastian Barteczko. Evaldo tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. Lineup: Mellbeck - Pavlík, Červinka, Revický - de Jutter, Trávníček, Morlanes, Habr - Bilgin, Tiilikka, Boualili.

Veverčí had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Starters: Ravolainen - Joga, Peralta, Chapet - Karlsen, Friedrichkeit, Jirků, Tims, Mauri - Mørch, van der Velde.

Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 10 minutes into the match left Veverčí's H. van der Velde completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. Evaldo's K. de Jutter put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 1 - 1 with 20 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 21 minutes into the match, and T. Karlsen wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 1 - 2 for the visitors. Y. Bilgin of Evaldo received a yellow card after 24 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Veverčí, with 57 percent of the ball.

Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for Evaldo, but K. de Jutter's shot went over the bar. 72 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 3 as H. van der Velde finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Veverčí's K. Mørch was shown a yellow card after 78 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Evaldo's L. Červinka cut towards the middle after 80 minutes, receiving a brilliant pass and slicing through the visiting team's central defence, reducing the lead to 2 - 3. After 83 minutes A. Tiilikka made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to Y. Bilgin who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 3 - 3. Veverčí's E. Peralta gave the visitors a 3 - 4 lead after 85 minutes with a superb strike from the right. Possession in this half belonged to Veverčí, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

A. Tiilikka performed admirably for Evaldo. L. Mellbeck on the other hand, had a terrible day. Veverčí's best player was M. Mauri. However, F. Friedrichkeit made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 4.
