24767 punters turned up at Městský stadion, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Rob Clerc was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Heinz-Mario Büh-Frensdorff and Horst Breyther. Třeboň tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Starters: Pikusa - Lefèvre, Keleynikov, Leuteritz - Henningsen, Daneshvar, Gruničius, Ziółek, Šišić - Koch, Reckließ.

R.M. started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Ceci - Sánta-Balog, Čamo, Gey - De Coster, Ogris, Grødum, Scrobe, Müller - Bardugo, Claramunt.

With 2 minutes played T. Reckließ almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when M. Bardugo slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against R. Pikusa, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. 29 minutes into the match, R.M. nearly took the lead, as M. Bardugo broke through on the right. R. Pikusa made the save, however. 31 minutes into the game, R.M. had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. R. De Coster's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert E. Claramunt was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for R.M.. 0 - 1. Halftime score was 0 - 1. R.M. claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

A review of the gameplan helped R.M. get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. Třeboň's F. Koch made a successful breakthrough on the left after 59 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. After 63 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as R.M. found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. D. Henningsen was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for Třeboň with a strike from the left, but S. Ceci managed to ward the shot off for a corner. R. Pikusa got a fingertip on T. Gey's shot from the left 65 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. 66 minutes into the match R.M.'s E. Claramunt viciously shoved another player from behind while going for a loose ball and was sent off the pitch with a red card. R.M. almost scored after a counterattack 74 minutes into the match, but M. Bardugo took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. With 80 minutes played, Třeboň's N. Daneshvar found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper. After the ball was lifted in from the left, C. Scrobe was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 85 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. Possession was split evenly between the teams.

Most important Třeboň player was D. Keleynikov. On the other hand, N. Daneshvar's play was disheartening. The most dominating R.M. player was without a doubt Á. Sánta-Balog. N. Müller on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 1.
