The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 39266 had shown up at
Bazaly for the match.
Mads Hansen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Sascha Bachmayer and
Sören Bredander.
Ostrava tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
Starters: Maggiore - Cacciamani, Martinez, Antolini - Anaya, Bozóky, Arnbergsson, Di Pietro, Satoniitty - Tozzato, Huijsmans.
Kopyta started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Schönenberger - Kubiś, Groza, Røste, Cleven - Kamínek, Kryza, Koho, Clementi - Onarheim, Lemos Dias.
Ostrava demonstrated their creative tactics on the field.
The strategy for Kopyta was to use their ability to press.
Kopyta's
D. Lemos Dias finished emphatically to make the score 0 -1 after 11 minutes, after the enigmatic
I. Røste pulled a delightful long pass from his box of tricks to bypass the defence.
After 16 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Kopyta found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
weak.
With 25 minutes played, after a good run down the left,
V. Tozzato went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving.
26 minutes into the game, Kopyta seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
poor.
Ostrava's
J. Satoniitty put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 1 - 1 with 29 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock.
Ostrava took the lead 31 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as
V. Tozzato elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
Perseverence paid off for Kopyta, as their
A. Cleven equalised making it 2 - 2 with a fabulous free kick.
The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to
J. Satoniitty, but the Ostrava player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 3 - 2!
E. Kamínek of Kopyta received a yellow card after 42 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Kopyta's
D. Lemos Dias got himself booked for a foul.
Ostrava were forced into a substitution as
R. Anaya couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
C. Szotkowski to come in off the bench.
The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 2.
Ostrava enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 67 percent of possession.
During the break, Kopyta's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to
passable organisation.
The Kopyta players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team.
The bench was restless, and with 50 minutes passed Kopyta's coach gave
F. Würzburger the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
A. Cleven reluctantly left the field.
K. Onarheim was the new captain of Kopyta - handed the armband by the departing player.
With 76 minutes played, Ostrava put themselves up 4 - 2 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
J. Satoniitty, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
By then
J. Satoniitty had scored three goals - a hat trick!
After 77 minutes, Ostrava sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
U. Antolini, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 5 - 2.
After this, you could see that the players of Ostrava were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
After 79 minutes Ostrava's
C. Szotkowski contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game.
B. Bozóky increased the lead for Ostrava to 6 - 2, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
Always a threat,
V. Tozzato tore past his marker and placed the ball right at the feet of the waiting
W. Huijsmans who should have easily scored for Ostrava, but the ball went wide.
A great save by keeper
M. Schönenberger after 85 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
V. Tozzato struck from the left with a real cannonball.
86 minutes into the match Ostrava's
V. Tozzato viciously shoved another player from behind while going for a loose ball and was sent off the pitch with a red card.
Unfortunately for Kopyta,
C. Kubiś was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
T. Kovačič replaced him.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Ostrava, with 59 percent of the ball.
B. Bozóky performed admirably for Ostrava.
C. Szotkowski was a disappointment, however.
Most important Kopyta player was
P. Kryza.
On the other hand,
T. Kovačič's play was disheartening.
The match ends 6 - 2.
