Clouds darkened the skies at
Yoshimitsu as 21145 spectators turned up for the match.
Jewell Brown was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Sietse Harding and
Frederico Paço.
Pečky decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
They fielded: Jurek - Kotlan, Popper, Festorazzi, Fuxa - Gourgourinis, Allofs, Tober, Roller - Maleňák, Artz.
Jehuda tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
Starters: Dragomir - Muscsinka, Pessinen, Ötüken, Neudecker - Hartengrube, Mosquera, Engelbrechten, Polo - Penteado, Stręciwilk.
Jehuda clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
J. Pessinen's lack of experience almost gave Pečky a goal after 11 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms.
Pečky fans held their breath as
M. Popper scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0!
37 minutes in, Jehuda's
L. Polo received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Unfortunately for Pečky,
V. Fuxa was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
Š. Sponza replaced him.
After 40 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
M. Maleňák gave the Pečky supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0.
N. Gourgourinis's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert
M. Maleňák was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Pečky. 3 - 0.
Pečky put in a good effort on the right, but
Š. Sponza saw his volley fly wide of the mark 43 minutes into the game.
3 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Possession in this half belonged to Pečky, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.
Z. Roller had a fantastic opportunity to put Pečky up another goal 52 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
Jehuda had a fair chance to reply after 59 minutes due to some fine moves down the left, but in the end
L. Polo was slow to keep up with the play and was unable to make it into the penalty box to apply a finish.
With 70 minutes played, the Jehuda coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
V. Pich came on,
P. Hartengrube had to leave the fray.
With 71 minutes played,
C. Allofs could have brought this one home for Pečky as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.
The bench was restless, and with 75 minutes passed Jehuda's coach gave
S. Gkomatos the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
L. Polo reluctantly left the field.
Jehuda's
M. Engelbrechten left the field after 79 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
J. Rozenbergs.
Pečky claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 70 percent.
The most dominating Pečky player was without a doubt
C. Allofs.
Š. Sponza turned in a dismal performance, however.
Jehuda's top performer was clearly
F. Mosquera.
J. Rozenbergs was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 3 - 0.
