Kopecek 1 - 3 FCSAK
(381402092)

14-07-2012 11.30
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 34120 to
North Aréna.
Václav Sikora was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Armando Kramer and
Marek Hamera.
Kopecek had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Sierpowski - Vejdělek, Milcent, Guardiola - Fikr, Bodny, Lučić, van der Zwan, Maass - Fumega, Arnold.
A 5-4-1 alignment was the formation of choice for FCSAK.
The following players took the field: Winders - Dopfer, Verhaeren, Heimel, Plach, Witzenhausen - Deitler, Baldonedo, Emelyanov, Kamenov - Barozzi.
FCSAK were relying on their ability to counter-attack.
Kopecek could have put themselves ahead after 2 minutes but
M. Lučić missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right.
FCSAK caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 3 minutes into the match.
J. Verhaeren was able to finish off the move - 0 - 1.
With 16 minutes played, after a good run down the left,
M. Arnold went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving.
Kopecek's
M. Maass was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box -
B. Fumega managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 1 - 1 after 18 minutes.
Kopecek made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left
M. Fikr completely alone with keeper
R. Winders, who made a spectacular block.
It was 1 - 1 at the break.
Kopecek enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.
FCSAK took the lead after
H. Heimel curved a free kick into the net. 1 - 2
Kopecek's
M. Arnold almost tied things up with 71 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post.
FCSAK hit back on the counter attack 72 minutes into the game with a free kick. Initially it seemed wasted, hit wide towards the wing. But there was an idea to it - the ball was then crossed towards
S. Emelyanov, who was waiting for it in the box. That's 1 - 3! Don't forget to thank the set pieces coach for that idea!
Kopecek's
M. Maass had seen it all before, so he waited patiently for the right opportunity. He would get no better chance than the one he took, but his shot was deftly blocked by the keeper.
The crowd groaned when
M. Arnold, having maneuvered his way down the right, fired the ball just wide and missed a great opportunity to reduce the deficit for Kopecek.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the FCSAK coach let
R. Kaiser replace
P. Barozzi after 80 minutes.
Possession in this half belonged to Kopecek, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.
The most dominating Kopecek player was without a doubt
M. Arnold.
E. Sierpowski turned in a dismal performance, however.
FCSAK's best player was
M. Kamenov.
R. Winders on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 1 - 3.
