An equalising goal seemed certain after 62 minutes when E. Bregartner attacked down the left wing, but G. Galazzi just managed to make a save to keep the ball out of the net. H. Neruda came close to levelling the score 63 minutes into the game, as he was set up with a through ball coming in from the left, but his shot hit the post. Sulimov managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when J. Vymazal cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Pixík's right side looked dangerous after 67 minutes, as P. Zubalík broke through. G. Galazzi continued to stifle them, however, as he made the save look easy. Possession in this half belonged to Pixík, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

Most important Sulimov player was E. Descamps. G. Galazzi turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Pixík player was without a doubt P. Zubalík. However, H. Neruda made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 0.
