It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 33920 that came out to Fc Rodos1 Arena. Jack van der Vecht was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Lucjusz Komisarski and Antonio Silla Carrascosa. Rodos1 decided to use a 4-3-2 set up. They fielded: Kennedy - Pönkkä, Boschiero, Festag, Darmakovičs - Szita, Zähner, Massard - Bulzomi, Pourret.

wenig Koks started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Bardou - Ramalho, Orovitz, Mier - Roberti, Olmeda, Estorch, Ibañez Ibero, Zarco - Chiarelli, Piccinno.

They were singing the praises of C. Bulzomi 26 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Rodos1. wenig Koks had to manage with a reduced squad after 29 minutes, as V. Piccinno got sent off for a needless foul away from the game's action. wenig Koks were close to putting the equaliser away after 35 minutes as the opposing defence lost control of the ball to J. Orovitz in a scuffle towards the left of the goal, but in the end the ball was cleared over the dead ball line. 39 minutes into the game, Rodos1 had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to weak. The visitors' E. Chiarelli was alert after a cross coming in from the left, levelling the score at 1 - 1 after 43 minutes. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to wenig Koks, who controlled the ball 73 percent of the time.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Rodos1 had passable organisation. The intense heat forced R. Darmakovičs into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. After 64 minutes, wenig Koks put themselves up 1 - 2, as P. Roberti finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. 68 minutes in, Rodos1 appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. R. Festag of Rodos1 was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 80 minutes, Rodos1 did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, F. Zähner was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 2 - 2. wenig Koks's S. Olmeda gave the visitors a 2 - 3 lead after 81 minutes with a superb strike from the right. After 82 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Rodos1 found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to poor. wenig Koks had most of the ball, with 78 percent of possession.

C. Bulzomi performed admirably for Rodos1. T. Kennedy turned in a dismal performance, however. wenig Koks's best player was A. Estorch. P. Roberti was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 3.
