Due to an all-day shower, 5635 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at
FC BJC Arena.
Toni Zottino was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Alain Buret and
Julian Kratky.
BJC had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
Starters: Špelda - Radosta, Kudrna, Náhlík, Duchek - Borský, Drobek, Dobrovolný, Harašta - Tomáš, Zacha.
ciperka started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
They fielded: Havlíček - Malý, Tyml, Trtek, Barna - Kubizňák, Duda, Pelíšek, Putna - Pavlík, Zmrhal.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
M. Zacha got himself booked. The manager of BJC was not happy.
With 25 minutes played, BJC's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
Z. Tomáš he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 1 - 0.
After 28 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
Z. Tomáš gave the BJC supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0.
It was almost a goal for ciperka following
T. Kubizňák's good header after a corner, it went just over the bar though.
BJC's
M. Kudrna increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 39 minutes.
3 - 0 was the score after the first half.
BJC enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.
ciperka's
Z. Zmrhal refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 70 minutes.
Morale on the visitors' bench was greatly improved when their
V. Pelíšek reduced the lead to make it 3 - 1 after 71 minutes, following a pass from the right.
After 75 minutes BJC's
P. Drobek had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony.
R. Cabicar came in to replace him.
ciperka were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 80 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to
T. Kubizňák, who smashed it home to make the score 3 - 2.
82 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
M. Kudrna broke through, making the score 4 - 2 for BJC.
With 84 minutes played, BJC put themselves up 5 - 2 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
M. Zacha, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of BJC lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
Possession in this half belonged to BJC, who controlled the ball 67 percent of the time.
Most important BJC player was
Z. Tomáš.
V. Špelda on the other hand, had a terrible day.
ciperka's best player was

The match ends 5 - 2.
