Weingarten 4 - 2 Beasty (381505091)

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Sparta Kolosseum saw a crowd turnout of 43426. Karsten Zinsmeister was the appointed referee. Weingarten decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. They fielded: Fuchs - Brzaković, Drulović, Naqid - Hassel, Penchev, Papariganopoulos, Parviainen, Romanet - Lecegui, Dénervaud.

Beasty tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Starters: Lanckmans - Nilsson, Varvashenia, Maslennikov - Stoma, Nagibins, Güemes, Brown, Kiselev - São José, Guerrero.

Beasty were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. They were singing the praises of M. Lecegui 2 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Weingarten. F. Brzaković could have put Weingarten up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 6 minutes. 21 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as M. Lecegui broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Weingarten. Weingarten's M. Lecegui increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 22 minutes. At that, M. Lecegui was noted down for a hat trick! It was obvious that Beasty had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. 3 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Weingarten, with 59 percent of the ball.

After 56 minutes, Beasty's A. São José swiftly ran past M. Drulović and nutmegged the keeper! 3 - 1. Beasty reduced the lead after 67 minutes to 3 - 2 as R. Nilsson easily chipped the ball past the home side's keeper after a dazzling play from the right. After 69 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and S. Naqid gave the Weingarten supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 2. A great save by keeper I. Lanckmans after 72 minutes kept the visitors in the game after K. Parviainen struck from the left with a real cannonball. Possession in this half belonged to Weingarten, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

Most important Weingarten player was F. Dénervaud. S. Fuchs turned in a dismal performance, however. E. Brown performed admirably for Beasty. On the other hand, S. Güemes's play was disheartening. The match ends 4 - 2.
