Laser's M. Brener struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 3 - 0 after 36 minutes. The coach of Laser was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 36 minutes, C. Ottesen came on for M. Brener. Laser solidified their lead at the 38 minute mark, as S. Kabilio dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 0. By now, the players in Laser felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 4 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Laser, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

The home side's N. Popov came close to extending the lead 51 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but E. Huts managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. S. Blin of Fileja was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. N. Popov should probably have put his team up another goal after 59 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by E. Huts kept the visitors in the game. Coming from the right, N. Popov almost managed to score another goal for Laser, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. 70 minutes in, Laser's S. Kabilio received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Cheers filled the stadium as N. Popov broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 0 to Laser. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, R. Ficotoro got himself booked. The manager of Fileja was not happy. Laser had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

The most dominating Laser player was without a doubt R. Kamerman. C. Ottesen turned in a dismal performance, however. Fileja's top performer was clearly J. Dobrič. However, E. Huts made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 5 - 0.
