Torpedo were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. Players in Torpedo heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. Torpedo's J. Angern managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 12 minutes. 0 - 1. V. Kalniņš was called on to replace IDIOTI's B. Reus after 27 minutes following a nasty collision. L. Schade's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence. Torpedo increased their lead after 36 minutes when U. Bite broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay. Torpedo were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. Given a free kick close to the byline, Torpedo tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let G. Vazdiķis slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 3, 39 minutes into the game. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. Torpedo had most of the ball, with 65 percent of possession.

Content with how the game was proceeding, the Torpedo coach let V. Jirgens replace M. Gunnarsson after 50 minutes. The coach of Torpedo was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, D. Vaccaro came on for T. Gerstlauer. It was almost a goal for IDIOTI following T. Karlsen's good header after a corner, it went just over the bar though. Torpedo had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. With 62 minutes played, Torpedo put themselves up 0 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was V. Jirgens. U. Bite left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 71 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. A. Irbe was the replacement. With 78 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed M. Vărzaru of Torpedo to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 5. Confident in their lead, Torpedo's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. It was obvious that Torpedo had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. After 84 minutes IDIOTI tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, R. Ipiña's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. After 86 minutes of game time, A. Dosen had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but S. Enguéhard was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. Torpedo claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

M. Idone performed admirably for IDIOTI. V. Kalniņš on the other hand, had a terrible day. Torpedo's top performer was clearly P. Gennadiev. V. Jirgens was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 5.
