After 43 minutes 2WAY's A. Çavlan contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. Due to some great work on the right wing 2WAY's S. Ahling was able to even the score after 44 minutes to make the score 2 - 2. 2WAY had to manage with a reduced squad after 44 minutes, as S. Ahling got sent off for a needless foul away from the game's action. 2 - 2 was the score after the first half. This part of the game was a standoff between the teams in terms of possession.

M. van Esschoten had a good opportunity to give Vienroči the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 57 minutes, Vienroči did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, B.
