Balodis had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the Kumīc player a red card without batting an eyelid. FK LM made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left B. Rübezahl completely alone with keeper D. Ursic, who made a spectacular block. The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when R. Fellegara was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 23 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! Kumīc's F. Strazdiņš's long shot really ought to have found the net 26 minutes into the match, but it fell just wide of the target. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 34 minutes allowed J. Kempeneers to score for Kumīc. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. It was 0 - 1 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Kumīc, with 57 percent of the ball.

P. Scurati wanted to play on, but the Kumīc coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by A. Gawęcki. V. Inbergs was handed the Kumīc captain's armband. The coach of Kumīc was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, R. Russenberger came on for S. Mendoza. After 63 minutes FK LM tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, V. Enginer's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. Kumīc increased their lead after 74 minutes when E. Jabariego broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay. After 83 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for A. Gawęcki who increased Kumīc's lead to 0 - 3. After this, you could see that the players of Kumīc were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. V. Inbergs received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 84 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 4. The Kumīc fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. After 85 minutes O. Jesień made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to V. Enginer who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 1 - 4. Kumīc enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

FK LM's top performer was clearly V. Enginer. O. Redlingshofer on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Kumīc player was F. Strazdiņš. E. Jabariego was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 4.
