Veidemanis's lack of experience almost gave mīkstie a goal after 27 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. mīkstie solidified their lead at the 28 minute mark, as R. Deville dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. G. Gualsoro hit the corner kick straight to the keeper, but it was mishandled, giving mīkstie's M. Martínez an easy chance to knock it in for 3 - 0. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in mīkstie's A. Ramos Pemán increasing the lead to 4 - 0. The players of mīkstie now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Cheers filled the stadium as R. Plevier broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 0 to mīkstie. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of mīkstie to 6 - 0 as A. Ramos Pemán finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. At that, A. Ramos Pemán was noted down for a hat trick! The teams went for the halftime break at 6 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to mīkstie, who controlled the ball 89 percent of the time.

Ramos Pemán cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. mīkstie's A. Ramos Pemán struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 10 - 0 after 68 minutes. mīkstie claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 90 percent.

Most important mīkstie player was W. Steigenberger. On the other hand, D. Saračević's play was disheartening. K. Elerts performed admirably for Sruatnev. M. Vīznieks turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 10 - 0.
