Gradov burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 4. It was 0 - 4 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Atriebeeji, with 80 percent of the ball.

After 53 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave D. Hanada a chance to increase the lead for Atriebeeji, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 5. The visitors' A. Pankavets took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 58 minutes into the match. 0 - 6 for Atriebeeji. D. Hanada received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 59 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 7. The Atriebeeji fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. That made three goals for D. Hanada and he was marked down for the hat trick. Atriebeeji increased their lead after 67 minutes when F. Gradov broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 8, much to the home crowd's dismay. Atriebeeji increased the lead to 0 - 9 as D. Hanada scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. Atriebeeji claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 83 percent.

Ventspils's best player was G. Zaržeckis. A. Līcītis was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Atriebeeji player was without a doubt F. Gradov. D. Hanada on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 9.
