Meyenthal finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. 39 minutes into the game, Tumme worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. With 41 minutes played, Tumme put themselves up 0 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was J. Meyenthal. After this, you could see that the players of Tumme were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. It was 0 - 4 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Tumme, with 68 percent of the ball.

The home crowd was not impressed when R. Okçu came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 47 minutes. Tumme were now up 0 - 5. R. Bertin's speed was clear to see after 71 minutes, as he darted down the wing and released R. Okçu who placed the ball into the back of the net to make the score 0 - 6. That made three goals for R. Okçu and he was marked down for the hat trick. F. Thorner increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 7. There was concern in the stands when, at the 80 minute mark, Tumme's R. Okçu hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave F. Thorner from Tumme a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 82 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Some fine movement on the left led to a Tumme goal after 82 minutes, making it 0 - 8. Y. Kryachko was noted down as the scorer. Tumme had most of the ball, with 69 percent of possession.

HSV LV's best player was B. Bouts. J. Veinbergs was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Tumme player was without a doubt S. Del Toro. However, G. Ün made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 8.
