Clear skies welcomed the 53808 spectators who had made their way to LG Stadions. Franco D'Anna was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Zikmund Vašíček and Peder Lindekvist. burvis had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. Starters: Mitrović - Somfalvi, Jarabran, Czvetkó - Erica, Cubillos, Sønksen, Szőke - Ulisses, Musik, Kalniņš.

FC TMS tried to focus their attacks down the middle. After 3 minutes, burvis's J. Szőke made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. burvis will have to do without I. Czvetkó for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 7 minute mark. He was substituted by R. Everett. 8 minutes in, burvis's P. Erica received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. F. Cubillos of burvis took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 15 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2. After 21 minutes of game time, D. Ulisses had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but T. Maeremans was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. W. Musik of burvis received a yellow card after 22 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 28 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for B. Somfalvi who increased burvis's lead to 0 - 3. Confident in their lead, burvis's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. It was 0 - 3 at the break. burvis claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.

60 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 4 as G. Jarabran finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The head of T. van Katwijk connected with a corner kick after 61 minutes, and the ball ended up with M. Campos of FC TMS who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 1 - 4. L. Kalniņš received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 80 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 5. The burvis fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. FC TMS's C. Tülff cut towards the middle after 81 minutes, receiving a brilliant pass and slicing through the visiting team's central defence, reducing the lead to 2 - 5. After the ball was lifted in from the left, J. Szőke was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 86 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. burvis had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

Most important FC TMS player was O. Korpinen. However, T. Maeremans made a disastrous appearance. burvis's top performer was clearly W. Musik. On the other hand, M. Mitrović's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 5.
