The 12000 fans in attendance at Metal Arena were roasting in the hot sun. Kapitonas Škėrys was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tinu Schmid and Ignacio García de Veas. Metal took the lead after 7 minutes as a result of V. Lanskoy's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0. I. Faļēvičs had a fantastic opportunity to put Metal up another goal 21 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Metal's K. Ikstēns had an excellent opportunity after 37 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Metal put themselves up 2 - 0 when V. Lanskoy broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Metal lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Metal claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.

FK"TERMINATORS"'s K. Sarkanplūme refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 65 minutes. K. Ikstēns didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. G. Mokichev unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. E. Riksītis should probably have put his team up another goal after 83 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by T. Ringulis kept the visitors in the game. Possession in this half belonged to Metal, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.

Metal's top performer was clearly V. Lanskoy. P. Indrāns was a disappointment, however. The most dominating FK"TERMINATORS" player was without a doubt G. Žagariņš. T. Ringulis on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 0.
