Mpanos could have put A.C.Ponte up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 81 minutes. Tergeste's counterattacks created a good chance for F. Cerdelli on the right after 84 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. 86 minutes into the game, Tergeste seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a solid level of organisation. A.C.Ponte claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 77 percent.

A.C.Ponte's best player was G. Viglizzo. D. Umbraško was a disappointment, however. Most important Tergeste player was A. De Loreto. F. Cerdelli turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
