Arechi maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 1 - 1. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Pollame, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

Pollame took the lead 47 minutes in, as M. Barbareschi broke through on the left and put the 2 - 1 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. The crowd was silenced 50 minutes into the match as the visiting team's D. Adamidis came in from the left, levelling the score to 2 - 2. After 70 minutes, V. Di Cristofano came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 3 - 2, giving Pollame the lead. Pollame put in a good effort on the right, but I.
