(381663564)

28-07-2012 12.00
Due to an all-day shower, 31328 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at
la Sagra della Patata.
Johannes Buechling was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Job Schoppert and
Emil Birãu.
SAGACIA tactics involved an interesting 4-3-3 combination.
The following players took the field: Ardondi - Goldmann, Worrall, Avşar, Stasevich - Ferrara, Söderholt, Ruault - Scardamaglio, Raillo, Nizzolo.
Zinghiai decided to use a 4-5-1 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Furnari - Papp, Harkins, Vico, Dalen - D'Aquino, Iakovidis, Di Maria, Giustra, Adrianopoli - Ökmener.
SAGACIA were relying on their ability to counter-attack.
The wings were the focus of most of Zinghiai's attacks today.
Zinghiai had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead.
The guests almost went up by a goal after 5 minutes when
F. Ökmener came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though.
SAGACIA almost scored after a counterattack 6 minutes into the match, but
B. Scardamaglio took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net.
With 7 minutes played, the excellent ball from the wing by Zinghiai's
A. D'Aquino reached
F. Ökmener's head, and he is not one to miss such an opportunity - 0 - 1.
The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like
P. Di Maria.
24 minutes in, SAGACIA's
H. Worrall received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
After the ball was lifted in from the left,
F. Ökmener was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 28 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration.
SAGACIA's
S. Nizzolo proved that he's been around on a football pitch before, when he took advantage of a few moments of confusion in the opposition's defensive line and elegantly scored for 1 - 1.
1 - 1 was the score after the first half.
Zinghiai enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.
Q. Raillo slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today.
They were singing the praises of
B. Goldmann 81 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 2 - 1 to SAGACIA.
With 81 minutes played, the Zinghiai coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
A. Kiche came on,
M. Vico had to leave the fray.
A. Kiche became the new Zinghiai captain.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Zinghiai, with 64 percent of the ball.
Most important SAGACIA player was
S. Nizzolo.
However,
A. Stasevich made a disastrous appearance.
A. Kiche performed admirably for Zinghiai.
M. Furnari turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 2 - 1.
