The crowd of 21267 turning up at Lignata Stadium today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Ant Dirlik was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Alexander Pálkovač and Harald-Peter Strondl. O.I.A.D. started off with a 5-3-2 lineup. They fielded: Reumert - Branchereau, Rose, Miccolis, Bukała, Misuraca - Bocco, Delfino, Pagliara - Johansen, Extrakt.

Murialdina had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Starters: Bartoloni - Frankova-Karasek, Pęczek, Domingues - Flohr, Pupi, Agiato, Jelinčič, Tiggelaar - Hanna, Montalto.

For their match strategy, O.I.A.D. had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Murialdina took the lead 13 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. A. Montalto was the scorer. Murialdina came close to extending their lead as T. Jelinčič delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 31 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. A well placed corner kick from L. Frankova-Karasek was followed by S. Hanna's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Murialdina, the score now 0 - 2. The visitors' A. Montalto took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 39 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for Murialdina. An amazing free kick flew past the home keeper 41 minutes into the match, putting Murialdina ahead 0 - 4. L. Frankova-Karasek was the scorer. By now, the players in Murialdina felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 0 - 4 was the halftime score. Murialdina enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 71 percent of possession.

The bench was restless, and with 65 minutes passed O.I.A.D.'s coach gave T. Vermigli the opportunity the player had been hoping for. M. Pagliara reluctantly left the field. O.I.A.D. needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 65 minutes C. Extrakt made way for C. Verri. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, O.I.A.D.'s O. Johansen was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 65 minutes. C. Piscopo was given a chance to change things around. D. Bocco was the new captain of O.I.A.D. - handed the armband by the departing player. A counterattack by O.I.A.D. after 65 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but M. Delfino, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off. The coach of Murialdina was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 79 minutes, C. Colomer came on for O. Domingues. M. Miccolis of O.I.A.D. was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 86 minutes into the match, A. Montalto came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. With the clock showing 87 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of O.I.A.D. resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by T. Vermigli in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. Murialdina claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 78 percent.

The most dominating O.I.A.D. player was without a doubt R. Misuraca. However, C. Verri made a disastrous appearance. Murialdina's top performer was clearly A. Montalto. J. Pęczek turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 4.
