Clear skies welcomed the 25089 spectators who had made their way to O Dragão. Agustín Miguel Castillo was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gunnar Berg and Doğa Övgüm. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Dragon. ostiense were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. M. Caracchini came close to putting the visiting team one up 3 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but S. Giménez managed to tip the ball to a corner. After 22 minutes, ostiense put themselves up 0 - 1, as M. Caracchini finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. The visitors' M. Caracchini took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 27 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for ostiense. Confident in their lead, ostiense's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from R. Gummer after 29 minutes, and prevented ostiense from going up another goal. Dragon had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 30 minutes, but D. Verri's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. ostiense were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. ostiense increased their lead after 34 minutes when P. Aldegheri broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. Halftime score was 0 - 3. ostiense claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 85 percent.

S. Giménez got a fingertip on R. Valdivieso's shot from the left 48 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. The visitors added to their lead 65 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by ostiense's E. Ferrando slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 4. ostiense had to make a substitution after 68 minutes. F. Filannino limped off the field and was replaced by B. Ruffert. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, P. Aldegheri would have put ostiense up another goal 70 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. Some fine movement on the left led to a ostiense goal after 76 minutes, making it 0 - 5. P. Aldegheri was noted down as the scorer. When A. Ionescu was badly injured by a couple of strong tackles after 78 minutes, Dragon fans were unhappy to discover that it was not possible to make a substitution. The referee signalled a penalty 83 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. E. Ferrando knocked it home to make the score 0 - 6. ostiense enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 89 percent of possession.

N. Jafet performed admirably for Dragon. S. Giménez was a disappointment, however. Most important ostiense player was P. Aldegheri. J. Rodríguez on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 6.
