Liver fans held their breath as S. Mehrain scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 2 - 1! 37 minutes into the game Wizards's J. Imizcoz found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 2 - 2. 2 - 2 was the halftime score. The guests took the lead 52 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in I. Lengerer scoring to make it 2 - 3. The crowd chanted their encouragement as Liver's C. Salvatori came in from the right after 60 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 3 - 3. C. Salvatori caused mayhem in his own defensive line with some mad dribbles within his own penalty zone, but Wizards's J. Imizcoz's shot went just wide. After 63 minutes, P. Weusthoff came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 4 - 3, giving Liver the lead. Liver enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

Liver's best player was C. Salvatori. P. Weusthoff was a disappointment, however. B. van Beem performed admirably for Wizards. S. Sœur on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 3.
