Cantaro should probably have put his team up another goal after 30 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by E. Carbonaro kept the visitors in the game. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in gazzetta's G. Pilipūnas increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Confident in their lead, gazzetta's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. After 37 minutes Wolfcity's V. Pappagallo limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. 3 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by gazzetta, with 58 percent of the ball.

The coach of gazzetta was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 65 minutes, S. Migliavacca came on for E. Panconesi. Things were deteriorating for the away team as gazzetta scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for G. Pilipūnas after 76 minutes. V. Pappagallo dispatched a majestic long shot 83 minutes into the match, but missed the goal by a few metres. Cheers filled the stadium as M. Nae broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 0 to gazzetta. Coming in on the left, F. Forestieri did everything right to get a goal for Wolfcity after 85 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper. gazzetta claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

gazzetta's best player was S. Cantaro. R. Capannolo was a disappointment, however. Wolfcity's top performer was clearly J. Krist. V. Pappagallo turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 5 - 0.
