(381670017)

18-08-2012 12.00
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 41806 to
Bosco di Porta Grande.
Klaus Haren was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Romuald Cossart and
Dexter Altinor.
Ma.Gi.Ca started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
They fielded: Rossi - Bonghi, Dallos, Mesude - Arovaara, Terranova, Perri, Fiorio, Urbaniczky - Akbora, Solo.
SS-PAOLO had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation.
Lineup: Andreuccetti - Nyhell, Di Natale, Rotatori - Torri, Pomarè, Guido, Vainikka - Schiazza, Paulsson, Lambić.
Some great play up the middle by Ma.Gi.Ca led to a chance for
H. Mesude to score after 13 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar.
After 20 minutes, SS-PAOLO's
C. Paulsson made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1.
K. Lambić's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 22 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to
C. Paulsson who knocked it in for SS-PAOLO. 0 - 2!
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
G. Torri from SS-PAOLO a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 38 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when
A. Perri tried to sneak the ball past the keeper.
S. Andreuccetti was too alert for that!
SS-PAOLO's
P. Di Natale was shown a yellow card after 43 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
The player down was
K. Akbora. The Ma.Gi.Ca bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up.
Ma.Gi.Ca were awarded a penalty 44 minutes into the match and
G. Urbaniczky fired the ball into the net to make the score 1 - 2.
1 - 2 was the halftime score.
Possession in this half belonged to Ma.Gi.Ca, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.
Ma.Gi.Ca put pressure on the visitors' central defence 52 minutes into the game, but
G. Terranova couldn't find an opening.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Ma.Gi.Ca's
H. Mesude was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 65 minutes.
F. De Martis was given a chance to change things around.
G. Torri was, after 68 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper
G. Rossi made the save.
After 78 minutes,
K. Akbora got through on the right and was very close to equalising for the home side, but didn't get the shot away.
Ma.Gi.Ca's
A. Solo almost tied things up with 79 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Ma.Gi.Ca, with 56 percent of the ball.
A. Solo performed admirably for Ma.Gi.Ca.
However,
G. Urbaniczky made a disastrous appearance.
Most important SS-PAOLO player was
M. Schiazza.
On the other hand,
J. Vainikka's play was disheartening.
The match ends 1 - 2.
