Unfortunately for vologna,
B. Asayag was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
U. Leopardi replaced him.

G. Giaccio for weeks; he finished off a great pass from the left, knocking it past the keeper without a problem. The match was level at 1 - 1 after 26 minutes.
After 31 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Palestro was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options.

After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
J. Kurkinen got himself booked. The manager of vologna was not happy.
R. van Hastenberg could have increased the lead after 78 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park.

U. Leopardi had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 81 minutes having been played.
D. Lanfranchi was the replacement.
J. Kurkinen had a fantastic opportunity to put vologna up another goal 84 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
A. Colluto made a good effort at breaking through on the right, but the home team's left defence cleared the ball to a corner.
