Giovanni solidified their lead at the 59 minute mark, as G. Barazzetti dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 1. Cheers filled the stadium as V. Naryadchikov broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 1 to Giovanni. Giovanni's D. Winde swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. M. Gaspari was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from Atletico's defence 72 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 4 - 2. G. Barazzetti performed admirably for Giovanni. A. Di Santo was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Atletico player was without a doubt F. Romanek. A. Bergonzoni turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 6 - 2.
