Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Shadowcraft.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
C. Bulzaga scored for evidentment putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 13 minutes.
A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by
C. Bulzaga. At last, evidentment's
N. Pritoni was able to backheel the ball in. 2 - 0.
evidentment managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when
D. Cotta Ramusino cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in evidentment's
G. Martinez increasing the lead to 4 - 0.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of evidentment lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
Always a threat,
G. Martinez tore past his marker and placed the ball right at the feet of the waiting
C. Bulzaga who should have easily scored for evidentment, but the ball went wide.
After 42 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
C. Bulzaga might have resulted in another goal for evidentment. However,
E. Ardia made a spectacular save.
It was 4 - 0 at the break.
Possession in this half belonged to evidentment, who controlled the ball 93 percent of the time.
G. Martinez of evidentment was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish
C. Bagnato, which resulted in a goal making the score 5 - 0.
A penalty 64 minutes into the game gave the home side a chance at adding to the score, but an overconfident
N. Incatasciato shot the ball wide trying to put it away in the top corner.
After 65 minutes, a counter attack by Shadowcraft was converted into a decent free kick opportunity. However, the indirect free kick routine was easily anticipated by the defenders. A textbook example of how to defend a free kick - the attackers were left with few viable options.
Against a lesser team, evidentment could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 66 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of evidentment to 6 - 0 as
N. Pritoni finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as evidentment scored another to make it 7 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
N. Pritoni after 74 minutes.
That made three goals for
N. Pritoni and he was marked down for the hat trick.
After 80 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
C. Bulzaga gave the evidentment supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 8 - 0.
Shadowcraft's
A. Lagonegro was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 81 minutes.
evidentment enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 95 percent of possession.
evidentment's top performer was clearly
C. Bulzaga.
G. Fornesi on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The most dominating Shadowcraft player was without a doubt
