Aspala's free kick out of the net. P. Pagh of Taurus took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 29 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2. The home crowd was not impressed when E. Ciglione came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 30 minutes. Taurus were now up 0 - 3. L. Lembo challenged the visitors' central defence eagerly, producing a good chance 31 minutes into the game as he went for a through ball. But, as so many times before, the guests' defensive efforts got the best of it. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. Taurus had most of the ball, with 74 percent of possession.

After 46 minutes, Kettoburgo switched C. Catterina with M. Malatesta, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. 54 minutes into the game a free kick by J. Aspala found its way through the home side's poorly assembled defensive formation, making Taurus's lead 0 - 4. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. A drive down the left side allowed S. Gévai to get in close and score another goal for Taurus after 81 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 6. The visitors' S. van Berkel took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 82 minutes into the match. 0 - 7 for Taurus. Taurus's F. Sempio Liverta was shown a yellow card after 83 minutes for slicing down an opponent. M. Chevolet increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 8. Taurus claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 74 percent.
