Today, I4CantonI's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. Some great play up the middle by PalermoInA led to a chance for J. Farnell to score after 21 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. It was a bad day for the usually speedy J. Simon. The mud seemed to slow him down. Many thought V. Jovanović ought to have been awarded a penalty 37 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around F. Viani after a determined run through the middle. I4CantonI took the lead after 38 minutes making the score 0 - 1. G. Locca placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. After 41 minutes of play, S. Monaci equalised for PalermoInA after an elegant attack from the right. The referee showed PalermoInA's C. Mansilla the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to PalermoInA, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.

As the 50 minute mark approached, the PalermoInA coach decided it was time for a substitution. J. Farnell reluctantly made way for C. Pilotti on the pitch. I4CantonI were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. The guests took the lead 78 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in G. Marani scoring to make it 1 - 2. The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like J. Masilingi. O. Blanco charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for PalermoInA, but the shot went well wide of the goal. 84 minutes in, PalermoInA appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable. PalermoInA's M. Camoscio was shown a yellow card after 85 minutes for slicing down an opponent. PalermoInA enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

C. Pilotti performed admirably for PalermoInA. J. Simon was a disappointment, however. The most dominating I4CantonI player was without a doubt J. Polterauer. On the other hand, H. Milla's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 2.
