Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 49044 to angel sofi stadium. Francisco Martín Aldana was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Nikolaj Gedsø and Federico Bañuelos. A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for angel. They fielded: Biavia - Bertucci, D'Angelo - Redavid, Sole, Torres, Hrstic, Abbate - Tragos, Bottone, Di Terlizzi.

The guests almost went up by a goal after 7 minutes when Ö. Varlılar came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. Down the middle came E. Marin, making a fantastic play that nearly had LuftBallons take the lead after 19 minutes, but A. Biavia preserved the tie. angel were very close to putting themselves one up after 20 minutes as W. Di Terlizzi got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. angel's C. Sole got himself booked for a foul. After 31 minutes, V. Tragos came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving angel the lead. The crowd was silenced 32 minutes into the match as the visiting team's Y. Demenagas came in from the left, levelling the score to 1 - 1. angel took the lead after 35 minutes as a result of M. D'Angelo's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 2 - 1. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1. angel had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the LuftBallons manager used a brief break in play after 60 minutes to give the players new directives. There was concern in the stands when, at the 65 minute mark, LuftBallons's A. Tacchinardi hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. LuftBallons needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 69 minutes P. Rebolini made way for G. Riguzzi. With 69 minutes played, the LuftBallons coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. F. Ånglund came on, D. Andreani had to leave the fray. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave F. Ånglund from LuftBallons a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 72 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The home team will be cursing E. Marin for weeks; he finished off a great pass from the left, knocking it past the keeper without a problem. The match was level at 2 - 2 after 75 minutes. After 76 minutes, LuftBallons's Y. Demenagas made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 2 - 3. LuftBallons's A. Tacchinardi was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 77 minutes. angel enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

The most dominating angel player was without a doubt W. Di Terlizzi. A. Biavia turned in a dismal performance, however. LuftBallons's best player was M. Mazzoni. However, D. Haag made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 3.
