Clear skies welcomed the 39242 spectators who had made their way to Via delle acacie. Calvin-Alexander Lotz was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jean-Yves Moons and Wiljan van Zanden. A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Codroipo. 19 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but P. Beltrani, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when V. Chiani was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 24 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to P. Duwald, but the Codroipo player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! Unfortunately for FC.GALLO, M. Galli suffered a concussion after 33 minutes and had to be taken for tests. The coach had his head in his hands after realising he could not send a replacement onto the pitch, and the team had to continue a man short. Codroipo solidified their lead at the 34 minute mark, as T. Sostero dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. The players of Codroipo now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. With 40 minutes played, V. Chiani of FC.GALLO fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Codroipo's P. Duwald increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 41 minutes. The referee showed FC.GALLO's T. Mizrachi the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 3 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Codroipo, with 63 percent of the ball.

After 48 minutes, R. Boerrigter put Codroipo ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. The score became 5 - 0 at 63 minutes into the game, when Codroipo were given a penalty which P. Duwald blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for P. Duwald. After 67 minutes Codroipo's O. Gossart contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. Codroipo put themselves up 6 - 0 when R. Boerrigter broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. R. Škubal had a fantastic opportunity to put Codroipo up another goal 78 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Codroipo to 7 - 0 as M. Bozlak finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Codroipo had most of the ball, with 65 percent of possession.

R. Škubal performed admirably for Codroipo. R. Bisiacchi on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important FC.GALLO player was T. Mizrachi. C. Bartocci was a disappointment, however. The match ends 7 - 0.
