By now, the players in A.C.THIENE felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
It took several tries, but Juniors managed to break through on the left after 35 minutes, getting the ball to
K. Kohler who easily reduced the lead to make the score 1 - 2.
1 - 2 was the halftime score.
Juniors enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.
A well placed corner kick from
M. Salas was followed by
A. Chumbita's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for A.C.THIENE, the score now 1 - 3.
The A.C.THIENE coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 75 minutes into the game.
After a short break after 80 minutes, A.C.THIENE seemed to change their tactical approach a bit.
Juniors claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.
The most dominating Juniors player was without a doubt
M. Steurer.
However,
C. Ricart made a disastrous appearance.
A.C.THIENE's top performer was clearly
S. Boffi.
M. Salas was a disappointment, however.
