Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 32164 at Cattedrale today. Mattia Brehm was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Víctor Agámez and Patryk Osip. Herzogenrath kept the home side in the game with a magnificent save when M. Surace delivered an almost perfect free kick to the far post. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave K. Carton from Atletico a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 40 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Halftime score was 0 - 1. Pettenasco enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

F. Scerra received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 50 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Pettenasco fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. M. Surace came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over F. Herzogenrath but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. The home crowd cheered when, after 59 minutes, I. Zangiacomi's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. 80 minutes into the game, O. Vysotskiy had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came J. Steiner. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Pettenasco, with 53 percent of the ball.

Atletico's best player was Y. Bangsund. J. Steiner on the other hand, had a terrible day. Pettenasco's top performer was clearly C. Scandella. F. Scerra was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
