Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 44129 at Portus Naonis Stadium today. José Castaño was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sander van der Woude and Pedro Chávez Gutiérrez. Pittiflugica tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. Rubeo refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 15 minutes. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, G. Macchia scored for Pittiflugica putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 16 minutes. After 27 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after P. Rubeo made it through the middle and struck home to make it 1 - 1. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave P. Rubeo from Kasteddu a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 29 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Pittiflugica enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

Some great play up the middle by Pittiflugica led to a chance for G. Macchia to score after 57 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Pittiflugica took the lead 73 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as G. Macchia elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Pittiflugica's L. Bricche increasing the lead to 3 - 1. Kasteddu fought on and, after 84 minutes, Z. Gkazidis was able to reduce the deficit to 3 - 2 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Pittiflugica, with 60 percent of the ball.

Pittiflugica's best player was F. Portillo. J. Rinaudo on the other hand, had a terrible day. Z. Gkazidis performed admirably for Kasteddu. However, S. Cusimano made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 2.
