Bogdanowicz, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 1 - 1. 34 minutes in, original's G. Lemmi received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. S. Canosa was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Getter's P. Czinder had to come off the bench. Getter took the lead 40 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as T. Warne elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Getter, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

47 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as D. Gospodarczyk broke through, making the score 3 - 1 for Getter. With 55 minutes played, D. Bogdanowicz of original fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. G. Guio could've grabbed a goal for original 64 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Getter, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Getter's D. Santos Guimarães increasing the lead to 4 - 1. T. Warne sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from R. Figueroa after 77 minutes of play, making the score 5 - 1. That made three goals for T. Warne and he was marked down for the hat trick. By now, the players in Getter felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. original came close to narrowing the gap when G. Lemmi's free kick nearly made it past the outstretched hands of Y. Flesch after 78 minutes. The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 86 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving G. Vila completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper. 88 minutes into the game, Getter were awarded a penalty that R. Figueroa turned into 6 - 1 without a problem. Getter had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

D. Santos Guimarães performed admirably for Getter. F. Osolo turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating original player was without a doubt V. Barać. H. Vandenhaute on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 6 - 1.
