The crowd of 12000 turning up at
Bamba Dream Team Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain.
Ernesto Frühwirth was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ubaldo Matildo Soto and
Pavel Červeňák.
Bamba tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.

A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Monte.

Monte took the lead after

Some things can only be learned through experience, and
G. Giuffreda should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Bamba a goal with 10 minutes of the match played.
Monte increased their lead after 14 minutes when
Ó. Pla broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay.
The players of Monte now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
Some fine movement on the left led to a Monte goal after 21 minutes, making it 0 - 3.
M. Roland was noted down as the scorer.
The Monte free kick 26 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
B. Calabro, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 0 - 4!
After 40 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
Ó. Pla to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 5.

G. Tonini came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save.
V. Santarelli of Monte received a yellow card after 63 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
It was a bad day for the usually speedy
B. Calabro. The mud seemed to slow him down.
With 74 minutes played, Monte put themselves up 0 - 6 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
G. Gardano.
H. Şahvələdli increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 7.
With 85 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
H. Şahvələdli of Monte to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 8.
