Vantighem, making a fantastic play that nearly had viagiotto take the lead after 6 minutes, but S. Saadon preserved the tie. The terraces were silenced after 18 minutes when viagiotto's D. Ciciulla put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. viagiotto increased their lead after 21 minutes when G. Vantighem broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Juvenico, with 51 percent of the ball.

The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when M. Garifullina tried to sneak the ball past the keeper. E. Jelves was too alert for that! viagiotto had to make a substitution after 78 minutes. O. Neder limped off the field and was replaced by M. Dell'Albani. There was concern in the stands when, at the 78 minute mark, Juvenico's M. Constantinescu hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Juvenico claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
