Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and LA TANA saw a crowd turnout of 35294. Pieve had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 11 minutes in when Y. Keinan came up alone against J. Sarkomäki who managed a block. D. Crespi was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by Y. Keinan, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. The guests took the lead 27 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in M. Confalonieri scoring to make it 0 - 1. R. Borisevich of GAS_D_LION received a yellow card after 28 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 29 minutes in, and GAS_D_LION were able to score the equalising goal to make it 1 - 1 when R. Seebär picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Pieve, with 52 percent of the ball.

Pieve's C. Baggen skillfully knocked a pass over the top after 59 minutes, and that was received by E. Matton who just managed to slot it past the opposing goalkeeper for 1 - 2. 70 minutes into the game, R. Jesus came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar. In the 71 minute, Pieve were awarded a free kick as their counter attack dried up. The ball was sent in high over the penalty box and, in what looked like a well-rehearsed move, it was headed backwards to reach I. Popović, who placed it into the net with a single touch. 1 - 3. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when R. Seebär scored after a brilliant midfield combination through the centre, reducing the lead to 2 - 3. After 78 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed T. Bubicz to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 2 - 4. Pieve increased their lead after 80 minutes when E. Matton broke through on the right, upping the score to 2 - 5, much to the home crowd's dismay. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Pieve lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. GAS_D_LION's R. Seebär cut towards the middle after 81 minutes, receiving a brilliant pass and slicing through the visiting team's central defence, reducing the lead to 3 - 5. This third goal completed a hattrick for R. Seebär. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave R. Jesus from GAS_D_LION a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 82 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! I. Popović was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Pieve's A. Kańczuga had to come off the bench. Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 84 minutes into the match. J. Ruhkala surely wishes he could do that free kick over again. The crowd gasped as H. Jokela of GAS_D_LION was flattened by an opponent after 84 minutes and had to be carried off. M. Tasayco came in off the bench. Pieve had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

F. Mandragallo performed admirably for GAS_D_LION. On the other hand, J. Sarkomäki's play was disheartening. Pieve's best player was B. Seamon. A. Kańczuga turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 5.
