At this point, it was obvious that the players of Vardar lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The crowd gasped as E. Emini of Avtokomanda was flattened by an opponent after 44 minutes and had to be carried off. V. Shapchevski came in off the bench. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. V. Franch squirmed through their central defence after 44 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 0. S. Trajchov of Avtokomanda received a yellow card after 44 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Halftime score was 4 - 0. Vardar claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 68 percent.

V. Shapchevski was caught napping as V. Franch lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms. After 56 minutes, a deliberate handball from Avtokomanda's S. Trajchov was judged to be his second bookable offence, and he was sent off. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Vardar scored another to make it 5 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for M. Borja after 67 minutes. The referee showed Avtokomanda's Z. Xani the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. F. Loga of Vardar had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. L. Meilner came in to finish the match. Vardar managed to extend their lead to 6 - 0 when M. Borja cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. That made three goals for M. Borja and he was marked down for the hat trick. With 85 minutes played, Vardar put themselves up 7 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to V. Franch, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Vardar had to manage with a reduced squad after 86 minutes, as A. Gorgodze got sent off for a needless foul away from the game's action. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave G. Murzin from Vardar a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 88 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Vardar enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 75 percent of possession.

Vardar's best player was M. Borja. L. Meilner was a disappointment, however. Z. Shutovski performed admirably for Avtokomanda. V. Shapchevski on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 7 - 0.
