ZIZZOLA 3 - 0 Real (381723821)

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Attila Sallustro saw a crowd turnout of 41336. Dolf Honkoop was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Diderick Töscher and Pierluigi Petrocchi. ZIZZOLA started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Eugeni - Bach-Gowinski, Provenzale, Forni - Ilari, Caddi, Di Vaio, Doerr, Həsənov - Załuski, Pezzano.

A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Real. They fielded: Vela - Peeters, Moulai, Scali, Ludescher - Paciello, Hubert, Mattheus, Saadon - Bertok, Simoncini.

Real clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. A. Bach-Gowinski was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by A. Provenzale, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. Good work by the Real defensive line after 19 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found F. Moulai alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. Real's G. Scali was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 20 minutes. After 22 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Real found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. A well placed corner kick from C. Doerr was followed by M. Di Vaio's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for ZIZZOLA, the score now 1 - 0. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Di Vaio from ZIZZOLA a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 29 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! In a fantastic display of determination, Real's U. Ludescher forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. The referee showed ZIZZOLA's M. Caddi the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The player down was F. Moulai. The Real bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. With 38 minutes played, C. Həsənov could have brought this one home for ZIZZOLA as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. 41 minutes into the game, Real seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to weak. With 42 minutes played, ZIZZOLA's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to C. Həsənov he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 2 - 0. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. ZIZZOLA enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Real was able to get his message across, and raised Real's organisation to solid. 55 minutes into the game, Real had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. With 56 minutes played, the Real coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. G. Roumpakis came on, E. Bertok had to leave the fray. C. Doerr unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. With 84 minutes played, ZIZZOLA put themselves up 3 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to M. Caddi, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. The players of ZIZZOLA now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. With 87 minutes gone, ZIZZOLA's M. Caddi had to leave the pitch after talking back to the referee and receiving his second booking. ZIZZOLA claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

The most dominating ZIZZOLA player was without a doubt M. Załuski. On the other hand, S. Forni's play was disheartening. J. Hubert performed admirably for Real. G. Scali was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 0.
