Dark skies made the crowd of 22231 at Ultimo Stadio a little nervous, but the rain held off. Mieczysław Drewniok was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Joni Usvala and Ferenc Tóth. A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for AtMorbasco. They fielded: Brauer - Cajal, Bezděk - Marenzi, Chiappa, Iorio, Landoff, Göde - Negendank, Custeau, Motti.

Team decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: Kopani - Both, Nava, Cappelletti - Yáñez, Balitskiy, Malischke, Dadda, Johnsen - Sterk, Bossard.

Team were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when Y. Bossard slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against J. Brauer, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. After 27 minutes Team's Ó. Yáñez contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. P. Bezděk got left behind when Team's Y. Bossard made a sudden run forward after 29 minutes, finishing off with a neat strike. 0 - 1! T. Landoff showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 32 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away. AtMorbasco took the lead 33 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as S. Iorio elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Team's Y. Bossard was shown a yellow card after 36 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 2 - 1 was the score after the first half. AtMorbasco claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

After 49 minutes, F. Negendank put AtMorbasco ahead 3 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. D. Bosso was called on to replace Team's Y. Bossard after 63 minutes following a nasty collision. With 65 minutes gone, AtMorbasco had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, V. Custeau did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. The away team improved the scoreline to 3 - 2, as L. Sterk struck home, set up well by a play on the left 66 minutes into the match. The home side's F. Negendank curled a free kick home after 78 minutes, putting AtMorbasco ahead 4 - 2. After 80 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by S. Iorio might have resulted in another goal for AtMorbasco. However, M. Kopani made a spectacular save. AtMorbasco's M. Göde showed his experience after 83 minutes, as he expertly set himself up to take advantage of a rebound off the crossbar, but his shot was tipped harmlessly out of the way. Team reduced the deficit to 4 - 3 with a penalty placed perfectly beside the left post by K. Johnsen. AtMorbasco enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

The most dominating AtMorbasco player was without a doubt L. Marenzi. M. Göde was a disappointment, however. N. Malischke performed admirably for Team. M. Kopani turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 3.
