previous 3/10 next 5/10  Tylak 4 - 1 Arrancar (381738770)

A scorching day at Tylak Stadium, where 24307 spectators were in place for today's match. Stu Harris was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Charles Dormoy and Aimé Gournay. Tylak had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Liebknecht - van Weeren, Malafaia, Westerner - Trasborg, Decaen, Torrecilla, Oprescu, Di Mauro - Nygaard, Panas.

Arrancar tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Sáinz Diez - Dovesi, Gandra, Frade - Szalai, Dorrego, Srdanović, Spiekermann - Maluli, Martín del Campo, Gjengstø.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Arrancar. T. Dorrego enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. Tylak took the lead 13 minutes in, as F. Nygaard broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. 16 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as F. Di Mauro broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Tylak. Tylak managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when F. Panas cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Confident in their lead, Tylak's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 23 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving R. Srdanović completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Tylak enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

It wasn't a good day at all for P. Decaen. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day. R. Srdanović could've grabbed a goal for Arrancar 61 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation. 63 minutes into the game, Tylak were awarded a penalty that S. Torrecilla turned into 4 - 0 without a problem. F. Panas wanted to play on, but the Tylak coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 65 minutes into the game by F. Seras Bueno. The coach of Tylak was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes, X. Pastore came on for F. Liebknecht. 72 minutes in, Tylak's P. Decaen received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 74 minutes in, an amazing pass from the left side resulted in a goal for the visitors, as S. Maluli anticipated the through ball and scored, reducing the deficit to 4 - 1. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, R. Srdanović got himself booked. The manager of Arrancar was not happy. With 79 minutes played, Tylak's E. Malafaia almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. 80 minutes into the game Arrancar managed a counterattack, but E. Gandra took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. The fierce heat made it important to save breath, and after a few swift runs S. Spiekermann found it hard to get back into position. Arrancar's E. Gandra tried his best to narrow the score with a well placed free kick, but it wasn't quite good enough and X. Pastore managed to block the shot. D. Oprescu could have increased the lead after 88 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave F. Seras Bueno from Tylak a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 89 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Tylak claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

Tylak's best player was F. Nygaard. On the other hand, X. Pastore's play was disheartening. Most important Arrancar player was P. Gjengstø. J. Sáinz Diez turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 1.
