Calabrese of Geppetto took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 38 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 4. By now, the players in Geppetto felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. After 39 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave P. Olijslager a chance to increase the lead for Geppetto, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 5. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 5. Geppetto had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

A penalty was awarded after 50 minutes, and C. Boti made the most of his chance to put Geppetto up by another goal. 0 - 6 for the visitors. With 57 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed C. Boti of Geppetto to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 7. After 58 minutes of game time, L. Abaroa had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but F. Frassanito was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. Possession in this half belonged to Geppetto, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.
