It had rained all day, but 29062 hardy fans still made it out to
Guido D'ippolito.
Ariel Arnaldo Gaiteri was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Wilfried Forestier and
Elbio Guglielminpietro.
Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this
Toscana derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents.
Jamunindi decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Musello - Mandl, Gjoka, Sörensson, Roso - Üster, Bruers, Gundersen, Żelek - Burghagen, Sharf.
Tuoro had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation.
The following players took the field: Vinegra - Steindl, Solln - Pollex, Jaber, Spínola, Amaral Pinto, Tzokol - Macovei, Virdis, Kuhni.
Jamunindi were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
D. Amaral Pinto was having a great game - if anything the pouring rain seemed to be spurring him on!
Attacking on the wings was the choice for Jamunindi, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack.
With 11 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as
K. Gundersen flipped the ball in after a cross from the right.
Jamunindi's
C. Burghagen saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 17 minutes.
F. Steindl slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today.
32 minutes into the match,
C. Burghagen could have extended the lead, but his powerful free kick went just over the bar.
The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like
C. Kuhni.
With 39 minutes played, Jamunindi put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
M. Üster, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
Jamunindi's
K. Gundersen increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 40 minutes.
3 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Jamunindi had most of the ball, with 63 percent of possession.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
C. Burghagen squirmed through their central defence after 49 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 0.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Jamunindi lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
The crowd roared its approval when
M. Musello somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Tuoro's
F. Steindl 53 minutes into the game.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Jamunindi to 5 - 0 as
M. Üster finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
After 74 minutes Tuoro's
T. Macovei limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue.
With 77 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Tuoro showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 5 - 1 when
D. Amaral Pinto got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal.
Possession in this half belonged to Jamunindi, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.
The most dominating Jamunindi player was without a doubt
A. Sharf.
M. Musello was a disappointment, however.
Most important Tuoro player was
C. Kuhni.
However,
E. Tzokol made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 5 - 1.
